PyWord/pyprime Homepage

PyWord is the Python Word Processor, an open-source text editor written entirely in Python (hence the name). It is designed to be somewhat similar to other text editors, such as Notepad, but has some unique features as well, and is also considerably prettier. PyWord is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0.

pyprime is a Python script that can find prime numbers, as well as factor composite numbers. It is both a program, complete with graphical interface, and a library that can be used from other programs. It is also licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2.0.

Note that neither PyWord nor pyprime is currently under active development – this site is kept up mostly for historic interest, although we honestly have no clue why anyone would find it interesting.  Both projects began and ceased development between 2003-2004, and no attempt has been made to resuscitate either one since.  In fact, this site is the one modern thing associated with either one.

PyWord and pyprime were hacked together by Martin Ultima.  Neither one is included in Ultima Linux, and you can see just how much better it is as a result.
